The trend that's gone wild: Make it Personal.

A recent extract from Eden De Fleur Personalisation. A new obsession.  "My beautiful friend Olivia of Olympia Creative is such an inspiration and trend setter. I've loved her work since meeting her last year and so when she brought out her Monogrammed Leather Keyring - of course I had to have one. Extremely handy when you're running errands, arms are full and you can just dangle it on your pinky finger. You'll never loose your keys in your bag again!" ... Read more of Eden's post here

ALL OF YOUR FRAMING QUESTIONS ANSWERED!

'The Adler frame features a slim, modern rectangular profile. Play with scale by grouping with other sizes and finishes in the Adler range' - Country Road Recently I have been asked by a number of customers to recommend frames for prints they have recently purchased from the 'In Full Bloom' Collection. After trying and testing a number of different options, here is a run down of my favourites!  The Country Road 'Alder Frame' is my favourite option, if you are not wanting to pay the extra money to have it framed professionally. Don't get me wrong, the result from professional framing is something you can't beat - however, as a lot of customers have expressed they are buying the prints as gifts,...

Alpha, Beta, Gamma: A Custom Invite Design

Engaged in the Isle of Capri last year, Steffanie & Michael decided to hold a celebration with their nearest and dearest in the heart of Sydney last month. Choosing Beta as the venue, which pairs modern mexe by renowned chef Peter Conistis, it was a Greek-inspired chic inner-city bar experience. Beta Bar is situated above Alpha Restaurant and mixes modern design with Victorian-era architecture and so when designing the invitations I wanted to bring the old and the new aspects into the design.  A hand-made rag paper stock was chosen, for it's old-wordly and authentic feel, and gold foiled to add that bit of glamour. The hand-made invite was then placed inside a custom made envelope, stamped with their logo 'Michael...

Olympia x The Paper Cup Project Issue II

The Paper Cup Project is an initiative which connects local creatives with local cafes. PCP is a platform for local creatives to showcase their work to the public by presenting opportunities for sales, collaboration and brand awareness. At the same time partnering with local cafes, it allows the people of Perth to discover and #SupportLocal.  .... and it all starts with a Paper Cup. I met with Russell and Ashley of PCP a few months ago (for a coffee of course!) and we began chatting about their concept and where they saw it all going. The boys were full of passion, full of ideas and committed to pursuing no matter the obstacles that would be thrown their way, launching their first Issue with...

Olympia Store Launch: Guildhall Garden

Lovingly restored, and artfully designed, the heritage listed and reinvented exclusive event space Guildhall (a long time favourite hidden gem of mine) in the heart of North Fremantle, set the ideal canvas for the long anticipated Olympia Creative Store Launch, on 15th December last year.  Exposed brick, red velvet couches, deep wooden floorboards, and pastel musk pink side tables are details unique to the space, with it's eclectic mix and artfully curated furniture a result of the owners Hamish Fleming & Siobhan Blumanns collaboration with interior designer Gabrielle Scott, and their world travels. With three distinct areas – an open bar space, an intimate lounge and a hidden courtyard that is the perfect location for a dance floor under the stars, Sheridan...

Brunching for a Cause

When I was asked to design invitations and menus for a Mothers Day Brunch hosted by Natalie Rolt at her North Fremantle Boutique, to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer, of course I accepted, and it was an absolute honour to work with a handful of local creatives and come together to create an incredible setting to be enjoyed by some amazing woman, all for a great cause.  Featuring a bold and elegant long-winding table in the white washed, light filled space, the occasion was filled with happiness, laughter and dancing – all in the name of charity. Sheridan Tjhung, as usual worked her magic and created the most beautiful and enchanting display of florals, whilst Butcher Baker Stylist did an...

La Primavera

The lunch took inspiration from those days we often dream about – lunching in Italy with those special in our lives, and dining amongst the wild and fragrant blooms that each local town thrives off. Since the event was held at the end of winter, the team also wanted to celebrate all the blossoming florals that were bound to emerge as Spring was quickly approaching, and this was executed through the most magical blooms by Sherdian Tjhung. This idea of Spring carried through to the menu, where Julio’s Italian prepared a fresh + fruitful selection of wholesome flavours inspired by the chef’s home town in Italy. Guests were seen grazing in glamour, with no dish left untouched. THE DREAM TEAM FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHY | TENEIL KABLE FOR THE...
